Document migrations have been required for as long as archiving solutions exist - starting with technical migrations to replace outdated storage media and extending all the way to replacing entire archiving systems.

But migration projects have never been easy. A lot of things can happen during the process. Keeping control is essential. If you don‘t, you might run into compliance issues, quickly being unable to prove that every object has been correctly migrated. At the end of each migration the crucial question is: “Are there any documents that never made it across?” Hopefully the answer is “No“.

KGS has developed a one-of-a-kind migration tool, especially for the SAP environment. Now you can configure and monitor the entire migration process through one user interface providing you with all important information and statistics.
Everything is handled outside of your SAP environment so that KGS Migration4ArchiveLink doesn‘t require any transports or changes in your SAP landscape - its is therefore a safe and easy to implement tool.

During the migration all documents will be accessible in the same way as before, even the documents that have not been migrated into the new archiving solution yet. The KGS server based component of the migration tool with its built-in document proxy and -cache functionality handles all migration needs and all document access calls.
Hence KGS Migration4ArchiveLink enables you to switch to your new archiving solution immediately - you do not have to finish your migration first!
