KGS Software GmbH & Co. KG has enhanced the KGS ContentServer4Storage and the SAPALink Framework with the implementation of SAP's new Information Lifecycle Management interface BC-ILM 2.0. The SAP certified software is available for any file system based storage like NetApp, as well as for Centera. The support of further storage systems, specifically the Fujitsu Siemens Computer (FSC) CentricStor family is currently underway and will be available shortly.
KGS customers participate from this new enhancement of the product range by: - DMS Vendors: The SAPALink Framework offers a new middleware class SAPILMLink which provides an easy to use, out of the box implementation tool set, similar to the widely used SAPALink functions. The implementation of less than 10 functions within this middleware class will enhance the DMS system with a ready to certify interface. KGS provides the full package, including SAP certification testing for its customers. - SAP End Users: KGS customers using the KGS ContentServer4Storage already for SAP Document/Data Archiving, do now have the option to leverage the functionality provided by SAP ILM (e. g. retention management). As the interface is implemented within the KGS ContentServer4Storage, simply an update of the ContentServer software together with some minimal configuration additions deliver the new functionality out of the box.
