    KGS ContentServer4Storage is a high-performance archive, which was developed specifically for the needs of SAP archiving. As a lean solution, it enables legally compliant archiving of data, print lists and documents, using SAP's standard interface ArchiveLink ™ as well as BC-ILM.

    Although it was originally designed specifically for the needs of SAP archiving, it is now a unique archiving solution which also meets the highest performance requirements. The seamless integration into SAP standards makes extensive rollouts of client components unnecessary.

    For example, for document viewing, one does not have to leave the familiar application environment since the existing SAP document viewer is being used. In addition to the deep integration into the SAP landscape, the KGS ContentServer4Storage also creates a full integration to existing storage and HSM solutions and can run on any operating system. The existing server and storage infrastructure can therefore be used and additional investments for the purpose of archiving are not necessary.

    In combination with other KGS products (KGS DocumentRouter, KGS ZADOC, KGS Scan, etc.) the KGS ContentServer4Storage forms the basis for an efficient, modern and SAP-centric ECM-/DMS-System.

  • KGS Migration4ArchiveLink

    KGS Migration4ArchiveLink is software designed for easy and controlled document data migrations for SAP archives. Document migrations are a necessity since the introduction of electronic archiving. In all situations where it becomes necessary to switch storage systems / media or when entire archive systems have to be replaced, a document and data migration is required.

    KGS Migration4ArchiveLink can be used to thoroughly monitor legal requirements during archive transfers, and provide evidence that all objects have been transferred correctly. With KGS Migration4Archive Link, the migration can be comfortably carried out through a web client, controlling all aspects of a migration project.

    The use of KGS Migration4ArchiveLink is independent of the existing archive solution - every SAP ArchiveLink™-enabled archive can be used as a source and target system. The solution allows switching to the new archive right away, at the very beginning of the migration project.

    Due to the special proxy server functionality of the KGS migration software, the documents are accessible throughout the migration process, regardless of whether they have been transferred or are still in the old archive.

    The KGS Migration4ArchiveLink server manages the document access and the migration independently from any underlying technology and is completely transparent to the user. All SAP ArchiveLink based business processes continue to function as before, without change.

    The migration can be carried out easily, quickly and with minimal administrative effort.

  • KGS DocumentRouter

    The KGS DocumentRouter, allows harnessing of documents from various sources (scan-, fax-, e-mail- or file-systems, external output management systems or legacy systems) to SAP. Furthermore, the KGS DocumentRouter supports all SAP storage scenarios, including early archiving and late archiving via barcodes. It archives documents in all ArchiveLink-conform archive systems and creates a link to SAP business objects. The software runs on all Java-compliant hardware and operating system platforms, supports all SAP modules, and can also fill the SAP DMS (Document Management System) with documents from external sources.

    The KGS Document Router is ideal for bulk importing of large amounts of data from external sources to SAP. It then transports these via the upload process through a predetermined logic into the target system where they are then linked up with the SAP business objects. Communication with SAP takes place via the standardized SAP ArchiveLink ™ interface.

  • KGS Scan

    KGS Scan is a high-performance and intuitive scan client with direct control and storage/archiving of scanned documents from within SAP GUI.

    With the use of KGS Scan, centralized or decentralized Inbox scenarios can be realized. For instance, sensitive documents may be collected directly at the SAP workplace by document scanners and can automatically be allocated to the corresponding SAP business object. Even a mass scan with automatic bar code recognition or registration of documents for automatic forwarding to an SAP workflow is possible.

    KGS Scan supports the document formats TIFF, PDF & PDF/A and the transfer of the scanned images is carried out by KGS Scan directly into the appropriate archive over the SAP ArchiveLink ™ interface (HTTP).

  • KGS ScanServer

    KGS ScanServer facilitates the rapid and intuitive management of scan client profiles and scan licenses in a centralized manner. This makes KGS ScanServer the ideal supplement to KGS ScanClient, allowing companies to maintain consistent and centrally organized scan solutions.

    KGS ScanServer manages locally created profiles in so-called profile groups. It only takes a few mouse clicks to assign these groups to any users (LDAP account), ensuring that new users can immediately draw on existing profiles. As a result, time-consuming new generation of scan profiles following hardware replacement becomes a thing of the past. Automatic versioning furthermore takes care of keeping scan clients up to date by assigning profiles based on the ‘pull method’, thus doing away with the need for manual assignment. Scan licenses are managed on a per workstation basis, and, here too, direct assignment and release is a simple process.

    In addition, KGS ScanServer ideally complements KGS DocumentRouter in order to implement filing scenarios, for instance late archiving with barcode.

    The KGS ZADOC software package delivers document filing and search functions that expand your standard SAP-based environment. Building on the SAP ArchiveLink™ and SAP DVS components, ZADOC brings rich functions to your ERP system that are traditionally only offered in separate, dedicated ECM/DMS systems:

    1. Link freely selectable attribute values to archived documents (in particular values that are not accounted for in the SAP database, such as: “processing status” or “contact for the document”).

    2. Integrate the SAP ArchiveLink™ and SAP DVS interfaces into a consistent application user interface using dedicated SAP transactions and a web interface.

    3. SAP object service (GOS)-independent ad-hoc and batch archiving of any document type in an archiving system connected via ArchiveLink™.

  • KGS LabelPrint

    KGS LabelPrint is the barcode solution for document input processes. A solution which is independent of archive systems, to increase efficiency in the field of document input.

    At the time of posting into SAP, KGS generates LabelPrint barcodes which contain all relevant and important information for the user, the accountant for example, such as: company code, document number and fiscal year.

    Thus, KGS LabelPrint helps to avoid potential mistakes resulting from manual input. Each input document receives the appropriate bar code and can thereby be identified at any stage of the process. KGS LabelPrint is compatible with all SAP modules that support the input of documents via barcodes.

  • KGS Activator

    The KGS Activator is an application-independent product for document and data transfer to SAP. It can easily be integrated into any application via the API without SAP expertise and allows instant adjustment of acquired data with the SAP system.

    Whether scanned paper documents, fax or e-mail – information of such source must regularly be validated against master data in the SAP system; header and/or position data as metadata of a paper invoice which is captured by a scanner. By using the KGS Activator as a link between SAP and the leading application, data can already be transferred to SAP, during the capturing process, where it is then available for transaction processing (e.g. FB60 or MIRO). Depending on the quality and amount of metadata, "background processing” is possible without having to start an SAP workflow.

    Thus, an online synchronization with a stored model structure is possible and validation may automatically take place as part of the capturing process. Also, the downloading of data (e.g. purchase order line items) can be easily realized with the KGS Activator.

    The KGS Activator is ideal in cases where systems other than SAP, for example for invoice processing, are in use.

  • KGS SAP Archive Link Interface

    With the powerful SAP-certified middleware, ECM- , archive- and DMS providers are able to enhance their solutions to SAP ArchiveLink ™ and can easily connect them to the SAP world without requiring specific SAP skills. The KGS SAPALink Interface thus allows quick and easy SAP certification .

    The SAP ArchiveLink ™ Interface is a communication interface between the application and external components (storage systems or desktop applications) that is integrated into the base component of the SAP system. In general, the combination of archiving or document management systems and SAP systems is addressed in the context of this interface.

    Since SAP ArchiveLink ™ contains a complex protocol, an ECM / archive provider requires detailed SAP knowledge in order to implement the interface in their own solution. This is where the KGS SAPALink middleware comes in. SAPALink translates between SAP ArchiveLink ™ and the respective archive interface of the ECM / archive provider. From the point of view of an ECM / archive, it completely envelops the standardized SAP ArchiveLink ™ interface and the new interface WEBDAV (BC ILM 3.0).

    The system to be bound must merely provide functions for reading, writing and searching of archive objects. The KGS framework is integrated into the target system through an easy-to-develop Java class or via a DLL for MS-Windows-based systems.

  • KGS H5 Viewer

    KGS Viewer (H5 Viewer) is a server-based web application deployed on a web server (preferably Tomcat). This means that no additional software components, such as Java or browser add-ons, need to be installed on the client workstation. When you retrieve a document from SAP, the viewer launches in the browser and displays the stored document. One is able to customize the viewer on a content repository or even a document type level (client specific). KGS H5 Viewer supports any ArchiveLink®-certified SAP archive and is controlled via the central instance of the SAP system.

    By using an overlay function, you can attach annotations in the form of sticky notes or texts, mark text using a virtual highlighter, or draw rectangles, circles and lines. Printing the document with or without the annotation overlay is supported. All annotations are stored in one separate component in the archive. KGS H5 Viewer even allows you to create, show, edit and print existing SAP note components.
