Harmonized Document Management 2.0: A Long Anticipated Gamechanger for SAP Customers?

What Does the Future of SAP Document Management Look Like?

In a recent keynote*, SAP CTO Philipp Herzig introduced the concept of “Harmonized Document Management” – a vision that has sparked significant interest and raised important questions among SAP users. The goal: a consistent, cross-system integration of documents within S/4HANA, moving away from a fragmented landscape of Fiori apps toward one unified solution across the entire Business Suite.

kgs Documentmanagement-Expert and CTO Benny Schröder will discuss in this exclusive insight session what a centralized, process-driven approach to document access could look like in the near future. One thing is certain: the challenges of document management in S/4HANA are well known. While various features for handling document attachments have existed for years, the experience has often felt inconsistent – with different behaviors from one Fiori app to the next. The “Harmonized Document Management” initiative aims to address exactly that, and now moves toward enabling seamless, end-to-end document access across business processes.

In this session, we’ll explore key questions such as:
– What exactly is driving this development?
– What does it mean for SAP customers?
– How will future access to documents be designed?

We look forward to your participation! If you’re unable to join us live, be sure to register anyway – you’ll receive the recording afterward.

*Philipp Herzig presented this concept during a keynote at one of Germany’s largest SAP community conferences, called DSAG-Technologietage.
