Initial situation
Aachener Grundvermögen is planning to move to the cloud in the long term. In this context, it also wants to say goodbye to traditional archiving and switch to a reliable cloud archive. In a first step, however, access from SAP (ArchiveLink) and directly via the Azure Cloud (CMIS) is to be possible. This step-by-step approach is expected not only to streamline the approval process, but also to ensure that employees have a positive attitude toward the changes brought about by digitization.
Challenge
Since corporations are subject to special requirements, it is clear that the new cloud archiving solution must not only be GOBD-compliant (principles of proper keeping and storage of books and records in electronic form), but must also meet the requirements of KAIT (capital management regulatory requirements for IT) was a key challenge of the project.
Solution
While researching on the Internet, they came across a LinkedIn post by kgs on the subject of CMIS and got in touch. After a successful PoC (proof of concept), the decision was made to introduce tia®, as this would allow them to continue with the old archiving access and to rely on future-proof archiving in the cloud. At the same time, a CMIS app was developed that not only makes it easy to check and approve documents, such as investment applications, but also to archive them automatically.
Result
After the smooth conversion within four weeks, the employees were able to archive their documents according to the new principle without much training - with just one click, they are stored in the Azure cloud and can be opened both from the SAP system and directly via CMIS.
