Initial Situation
Aachener Grundvermögen is planning to switch to the cloud in the long term. In this context, they also want to say goodbye to traditional archiving and switch to a reliable cloud archive. As a first step, however, access should be possible from SAP (ArchiveLink) and directly via the Azure Cloud (CMIS). This step-by-step approach is not only expected to streamline the approval process, but also that employees will be positive about the changes brought about by digitization.
Solution
When researching the Internet, you come across a LinkedIn post from kgs on the subject of CMIS and get in touch. After a successful PoC (proof of concept), the decision is made to introduce tia®, as this allows you to both continue your old archiving access and rely on future-proof archiving in the cloud. In parallel, a CMIS app was developed which not only allows documents, such as investment applications, to be easily checked and approved, but also automatically archived.
Result
After the smooth changeover within four weeks, employees were able to archive their documents using the new principle without much training — with just one click, they are stored in the Azure cloud and can be opened both from the SAP system and directly via CMIS.
