The company-wide implementation of SAP S/4HANA prompted the sporting goods manufacturer to overhaul its archiving concept. In PUMA Austria and the countries managed from there alone, 33 million documents need to be migrated to the new system.

For commercial and technological reasons, PUMA was compelled to move away from its existing archiving strategy and adopt a cloud-based subscription solution. The objective was to implement a platform that could be easily deployed worldwide in all subsidiaries and was more cost-effective than the legacy system.
During its research, PUMA discovered kgs, an SAP-certified archiving company. A comparison of PUMA's requirements catalog with kgs's functional scope revealed significant alignment. Since tia®, KGS Software GmbH's archiving platform, is also available as a cloud-based subscription solution, PUMA and kgs quickly reached an agreement: tia® would subsequently be rolled out at the headquarters and in subsidiaries worldwide.
The Austrian PUMA subsidiary serves as an exemplary case for the implementation and rollout: Over 33 million documents were successfully migrated from the legacy system to the new archiving system within three months. Furthermore, the costs and effort for operating the archiving system were significantly reduced.
