Future-proof with powerful SAP data archiving

Kemira, a leading global provider of sustainable chemical solutions for water-intensive industries, had relied on a well-known on-premise solution to archive its data for years. Over time, this increasingly reached its limits. In addition, the response time and quality of advice provided by the support team was sub-optimal in the event of questions or problems. It was clear to those responsible that the team would not be able to continue in the long term under these conditions. Especially since the transition to SAP S/4HANA was imminent. The requirements for archiving SAP data were particularly high, especially as the availability of this data and documents was and is business-critical for Kemira.

During the search, they quickly came across the SAP-certified archiving solution from kgs. It turned out that tia® had exactly the range of services that Kemira needed. After an in-depth product analysis and discussions with users, the Finnish company decided to introduce tia®.

Following a PoC, those responsible introduced the archiving solution from the Neu-Isenburg-based software provider. The migration was carried out with minimal downtime and today only a few IT staff at Kemira are employed to operate the solution. Nothing has changed for everyone else: They work in SAP as usual and their data is archived in the background. And because the performance is impressive even when uploading documents from the archive, hardly anyone notices anything about intelligent archiving in tia®.
